Cheney never would have sent an honest man to check up on him.
Cheney was too busy shooting captive pheasants off their perches to make a personal selection. He already knew that the information was false, he only wanted to find out how easy it would be for others to uncover that fact.

Liar. Wilson never said Cheney sent him. That's a phony RNC talking point you're parroting. Go back and read Wilson's actual words, which he has done himself several times on TV. it's clear the CIA sent him, because Cheney's office requested the intel. Cheney was the one who lied repeatedly, on Meet The Press and through Scooter Libby.

Also remember, the issue in Plamegate is not Wilson, it's the White House deliberately outing a covert CIA agent during war-time to try and cover up their own proven WMD lies. The WH's only defense now is that they were inept, didn't check facts, started a war without investigating and were relying on shoddy intel a decade old. That's no excuse to start a war.
