Trimmed my HON position and booked some profit. The company continues to do quite well and all the analyst have increased their projections for next year.

Their leveraged Free Flow Cash flow is now negative and their trailing PE is now above 21. However with "all" the analysts positive about the company looking into next year, the consensus forward PE is right around 15. Not a bad value if they are correct.

It's a hard call to sell a position I have owned for such a long time but I like to build up cash reserves during this time of year so I can buy other companies with a much better value proposition. I guess I am not alone as all of the insider sales on HON since 2006 have been sales.

My three year annual compound return for my HON position is just under 20% which exceeds my overall portfolio goal of 10% per year.

Peeled off a few shares of HON (@$61) purchased in 2005 (in the mid $30's). This is in the IRA account. Proceeds were allocated 3/5 into HRPT Properties Trust (HRP) REIT and 2/5 into Georgia Gulf Corp. (GGC).

HON is near a 52wk high up 35% for the year. It far exceeded my two year price target of $45. The dividend is down to 1.6%. Forward PE is 17 down from 21.

HON is now my No. 10 holding in the IRA down from No. 7.

Top five stock holdings (out of 27) in my IRA as of 12/2007:
CVX
PFE
SFL
TRP
MRK
