By Chris Preimesberger...

SGI lost $19 million last quarter and expects to lose somewhat less this quarter. This is a company that earned $730 million in 2004 and made more than $3 billion in 1997, its peak year.

This reporter, Chris Preimesberger, knows nothing about business to say that SGI "earned" in 2004 or "made" $3 billion in 1997. It's really quite ridiculous that eweek.com would assign a business story to such a neophyte reporter and publish it. SGI did earn (or make) $79 million in fiscal 1997. Credit is due, however, for not inserting an apostrophe into the possessive "its".
