Good point Sir D, and I am not fully invested and likely never will be again, but today does smack of buying opportunity in my beloved leaps (and calls).

I will need to disagree somewhat with the above stastement.

For some of us who deal with micro cap stocks, like Ed Ajootian, where he is getting 100 - 200% gains from many of his positions, it is possible.

Same for people using options or warrants.

The other possible way to survive is to have hedged, maybe having bought some out of money puts on energy, or having shorted some of the stocks that were hit very hard by Katrina/Rita.

But I will agree it is VERY difficult, and painful.
