I'm weighing the pros and cons.
I think the contractor prefers the ground, but he may mean flat ground.
Since it is a metal roof, I'm thinking I should maybe get my roofer to put in their frames for them. But the hill is easier, and makes maintenance (cleaning) easier. Bird poop, ya know.

I don't think there is an energy loss. After 150 feet, you need to go to different wire; maybe shielded conduit. I can't remember. Also, I'm not sure if it is 150 feet to the house, or to the meter, which is about 50 feet from the house. I need to check and see if I can use a pole and above-ground wire. That might be better, since one site requires crossing a gully, which won't be a lot of fun. Gets pretty wet in the winter.
I get a bit more sun on the hill. The hill may slide someday.

Arrrrrrrgggggggggg.
