I am still wondering about and remain clueless, why on Earth leading Jews back in the 30s and during the early years of WW II were so damn keen on getting their own haven in the Middle East.

In our days the Holocaust is mostly the argument used why the Jews wanted and should be granted their "own" land.

Definitely that still doesn't make me understand what why that desert spot were so attractive to them before.

Expecting peace with Muslims period is unrealistic. Their religion doesn't support any of the values that Western culture holds dear: human rights, women's rights, Democracy, etc.
