(NYSE:BA) has selected Mercy Corps to receive a USD 1 Million corporate contribution that will be used for earthquake relief efforts in South Asia.

The company said that Mercy Corps was chosen after careful consideration of a number of organisations. The key reasons behind the decision included the fact that Mercy Corps had a presence in the area before the earthquake and is able to
focus on both the short and long-term needs of the region.
