Haq, I have generally been pleased with my experience at Holiday Inn Express.

I've soured on them since Katrina, however, when the staff of the New Orleans Inn expelled their guests the Tuesday following the storm. Among those guests was Rainy Day Woman's elderly father, who then was forced to take up residence in the Superdome.

No excuse for that IMO. There were other hotels that allowed guests to stay and offered them safe haven.

Haqihana, I have found Best Western an excellent place to stay. Yup, free full-course breakfast, with all the trimmins', AND unlimited, free high-speed Internet access. What more could one ask? - Holly

<edit: Including excellent cinnamon rolls and other tasty confections. Me? I stick with the scrambled eggs and juice and maybe a homemade biscuit. It's the girth thingie or, more to the point, the avoidance thereof.>
