JF, Speculators are about to be the first time buyers best friend... they are going to have to unload their assets at a loss. A non-deductable loss.

Not likely around here. Worst thing that could happen is a pullback of the median price from $600K to $500K. Probably an uptick of foreclosures as well, though I figure that'll just weed out the idiots who borrowed more than they could pay back.

Besides, the "median home" around here is barely enough for a family of four. Maybe we'll just have to adjust. At least the weather is still awesome and there are PLENTY of cool young people hangouts, so cramped homes won't be that big of a deal. We'll just need to make sure our kids have cars or know friends with cars, since mass transportation is still a joke.
