Was he her Chief of Staff when she was in the House of Reps or was he just on her staff? Bernie was also acting as a reporter when he broke the story of the $500 toilet seat bought by a member of the Pentagon. He also broke the story of Catholic priest molestation. The Church was selling off parish land in San Francisco to pay off the victims. The former Bishop and his staff hated Bernie!!! I remember when someone called him one night and reported another priest molestation right on the air.............Bernie tracked the perpetrator down and got him arrested. Bernie does not lack courage.
