"Guns are tools that people can use for good or ill" So is nuclear energy and so is anthrax. It doesn't mean that anything that MAY (or "can" as you said) be put to legitimate use is a Sacred and Holy Right? Yes the fact that something is a tool that can be used for good or ill (although I can't think of too many good uses for anthrax, even if it is somehow considered good if you use it as a weapon against evil people it isn't very discriminate), the point is that the evil involved in a gun murder is that of the killer not the gun. There are people who really do see guns as being an extreme, unmitigated danger, or even see them as evil, and think that an attempt to ban them would make us all safer. The site I linked to is an appropriate response, in every way except that it isn't likely to change their mind. Tim
