I had heard that only soldiers that die in combat are counted as war casualties. IF the wpounded are alive when they are put into the helicopter but die on their way to the hospital they aren't counted. Sick, isn't it? Reminds me of Vietnam. I was alot younger in the Vietnam era but I do remember thinking that we must have killed everyone in Vietnam who was Vietnamese............everyweek I would see thousands of Cong recorded as dead and a few Americans. I was in my teens, but after a while I figured out the numbers had to be phony.
