Bush is going around trying to blame others for his failed Iraq policy. His handlers are putting the word out that at least 100 Democrats from the Congress voted against Saddam.

What they don't say however is that that they left the details to the President which is how it should be since he is the Executive.

He is being faulted for the way he executed "the removal of Saddam"

Unlike his father, he went about it unilaterally. Did not care for what others had to say. Did not take the time to carry the world. Instead they hammered and rebuked the UN after they lost the Security Council vote. I wonder why they sought a second Security Council vote in which they lost and then went back to a earlier one.

It did make the US look stupid in the field of world diplomacy. Colin Powell recognized his stupidity. It is about time that Cheney recognizes his crookery and like Powell he needs to resign.

There was no evidence of ANY WMD in Iraq in 2003. Many top Bushies lied to us about this, even after the invasion.

The final UN and US reports concluded after exhaustive searches that Saddam destroyed his WMD after the Gulf War. While there is a possibility some may have been hidden, many such agents do not keep well and would have degraded by now anyway. There is no evidence of any nuclear activity which along with the debunked rumors of Saddam supporting AL Qaida, was the main reason we went to war.

It is incredible that Bush can stand up and lie to the country like he did yesterday. To expect us to believe that congress got the same intel Bush-Cheney had, that it was never cooked and that Bush-Cheney are just innocent dupes in all this is beyond comprehension.

What Bush should do now is apologize and explain his real motives, but he is so inherently dishonest it is next to impossible for him to ever tell the truth, about almost anything.
