Many, In many places, real estate is going through the roof. That makes it hard on those that are on a fixed income, and even if one has a good stash for his older years, a new house can put a dent in it.

I'm contemplating a possible move to Ma. I'm pretty much in the same boat as you are. Housing I could reasonably afford I wouldn't really care to live in. Since interest rates are rising again perhaps housing will start to return to saner levels.
