For anyone quite familiar with the risks of DVT -- I would think that if they happened to fall asleep for an extended period of time on one of these super long flights, their first thought upon waking up ought to be :

Hey ! I guess I'm not dead !

M, I suppose walking 18 times around would start to feel a bit silly. They were probably in party mode instead. <Wouldn't just getting up and taking a walk eliminate deep vein thrombosis? I'd have jumped at the chance to walk a couple of miles. > Being in the mile high mile club is probably not all that exciting. Having a Globalstar phone available would be great though.

BTW, I wonder if there has yet been a child conceived in space. With millions of people up in the air every day, I guess that was achieved a mile high many decades ago.
