A pathetic performance by Rockefeller, but the fact is that the Dems' theory makes no sense, and can't withstand scrutiny by any well-informed observer.

be nice if republicans just put pressure on democrats that the only reason they voted for the war with iraq was to save their own jobs. Like kerry voting for the war... then later when dean pulls ahead in the elections ,, kerry changes his mind i , i,,

democrats were afraid to vote against any fight with iraq for fear of being on the wrong side and losing in the next election. Be nice if the people we sent to congress voted on issues vs tenure in their jobs.
