I'm not saying that things couldn't have happened in one way or the other, I'm saying that I don't see sufficient evidence to believe in a widespread conspiracy theory.

I do believe that the disaster of 911 should be laid squarely at the feet of the government but, even with all of the warnings and with a supposed global war afoot, other countries have been hit although on a much smaller scale.

We are dealing with a government that couldn't handle a slow moving hurricane and, even while they were being screamed at about the desperation in NO, STILL didn't take action. Until there is more evidence, I will believe in incredible incompetence (since it's exhibited daily by this administration) over brilliant conspiracy.

Did they see trouble coming out of Saudi Arabia and ignored it? Possibly.

Did they take advantage of 911 to the detriment of the country? Absolutely.

Did they engineer a brilliant broad daylight explosion-plane-missile attack on two cities whose plot still hasn't been uncovered? Possibly but I doubt it.

If they're this brilliant, why is Iraq so messed up when they really wanted to govern it and privatize the oil?
