Probably. Intel certainly seems to have a "not invented here" attitude, for better or worse. It seems to me that they could leverage their strength, manufacturing efficiency, to other mass semiconductor categories; but I could be wrong.

<And NOR flash is probably more cutthroat low margin than NAND, at least right now>.

PS BTW, it appears to be pretty easy for the DRAM/NAND manufacturers to switch the lines at will between the two commodities. And that seems to be making the marketplace a little more efficient, with fewer and less severe over capacity / under capacity situations.
