French Press reporting things are almost back to normal...only 374 cars burned last night.

I thought that was nutty reporting until I read this...

According to figures compiled before the riots by the police intelligence service RG, some 28,000 cars were burned in the first 10 months of the year -- making an average of 650 a week, most of which were destroyed on weekends.

Now I understand why the French don't get excited about the riots.
Burning cars is a French national pastime.
