Having worked on pulp plants, paper plants and paper-converting systems of various types, I find this a very positive situation. The EPA has given the paper boys a pretty rough time over the last few years. Koch's engineering and financial muscle will certainly help in balancing enviro-wacko dreams against practical engineering realities and putting those into place on a reasonable schedule.

Georgia-Pacific has a wholly owned subsidiary called BlueLinx that is a warehouser and supplier to the construction industry. One of our little cheapie stocks, PLNI, has over $1MM in current back orders for its products from BlueLinx - with more orders coming....

Removing the debt from the G-P operations should have a postive effect on BlueLinx, and it is quite possible that BlueLinx will subsequently increase the size and breadth of it's orders to PLNI. I am aware that there are some slick new PLNI products in the final stages of R&D (..no details unfortuntely..) but more money floating around in the pipes always seems to help these situations mature..!!!

John :-)
