re: Precisely. The chemical discharges come from losing control of the drilling mud. That is much, much worse. Oil leaks are insignificant. Most oil on the beaches here come from tank cleaning operations from the tankers or natural seepage.

I usually not a NIMBY person, but an awful lot of folks in Florida make their living based on the beaches. I would hate to see that messed up...
