"He also commented that you wanted to get into AMD BEFORE tomorrow's Analyst Day." That must be it, because, despite AMD sticking out in all its brilliant green against a sea of red, I've not yet heard a comment about this unusual counter action of AMD. Last $25.69.

A second thought: Perhaps the implications of the OCTOBER MILESTONE, whereby AMD's (notebook +desktop) share of the US retail space eclipsed INTC is settling into the psyche of the herd, Cramer amongst them. It's pretty obvious to everyone, except the "Wall St. mafia", it seems, that AMD's revenues and earnings broke out in Q3 and, the OCTOBER MILESTONE seems to have provided conclusive evidence that AMD's breakout, contrary to being characterized as a one time event by some, is much more likely just a glimpse of the serious runup in revenues and earnings that we are likely to see in 2006. Heck, my AMD model suggests a $0.60 to $0.70 Q4, pre bonus and profit-sharing, easily double current "mafia" estimates. For 2006, AMD's current price is predicated upon an eps of $0.78. It seems pretty clear to most, again other than the "mafia" that AMD is at least as likely to come in at double or triple $0,78 in 2006. Gotta feeling the herd has now caught wind of the "Wall St. mafia's" $0.78 roadbloack, and is about to run right through it.
