the tars in cigarette tobacco, are more of a danger than nicotine will ever be.

IMO it depends on where you're coming from. As far as looking at tobacco as an addiction clearly nicotine is the culprit. If you're coming from the COPD and emphysema angle, I agree.

That common citizens have no say whether pot is legal or not I beg to differ. It was common citizens that forced the prohibition of alcohol (much to the chagrin of constitutional monitors) and it was also the common citizens that lifted prohibition some 17? years later. Almost identical arguments were used to promote prohibition then as were used in the war on drugs during the Nixon era.

Pot is worse than cigarettes because the user is not in his right mind, and will do things that should not be done, and not care about the consequences.

Here I must vehemently disagree. Comparing the mental affects of pot and cigarettes is like comparing apples and oranges being that cigarettes cause no marked change in perceptions.

As far as the later part of your statement, this was one of the "reefer madness" type myths about pot that, even though it's been disproved on every level, people that have never indulged still propagate. As opposed to alcohol, smoking pot increases self awareness, it doesn't subdue it nor does it remove your ability to tell right from wrong but may even enhance it. There have also been tests run on people driving under the influence of pot. Those tests have shown clearly that, quite the opposite of people driving drunk, people stoned are much more aware that their abilities to drive are impaired and drive accordingly slower while trying to maintain a focus on the road.

Alcohol is legal. And it can result in you driving at 100 mph. The cops bust you, charge you. jail, and you do a lot of hard time for the misuse of a legal substance. If citizens drink and drive, they are committing a crime. And alcohol is still legal. I have seen alcohol render users totally useless- -and dangerous and violent. In fact it is noted for its propensity to set off violence.

Ready to go back to Prohibition? Remember what a success that was?

Maybe you should read this.

We're potentially looking at war on that 2,000 mile long southern border. And STILL getting more of the crap you doon't want in.

Maybe you need to think about what is tolerable and where you will draw the line and bust heads.
