Perhaps - but their addiction reinforces a stereo type and discrimination.

Maybe you should look at which came first.....the discrimination and grinding poverty, or addiction. Usually, the former precede the latter.

The dominant race maintains the stereotypes for a reason. That doesn't change the fact that there are sometimes complex reasons why people are on welfare. Judging them without knowing the facts is, well, not very Christian.
