I don't know how NYC gets away with their gun law.

NYC makes it difficult to get a concealed carry permit...not impossible just difficult.
NYC has not outlawed guns.

The range of rules varies widely from... for example, SFO where one supposedly cannot own a weapon to Nevada and Idaho which have no waiting period at all to buy a gun and ammo.

The concealed carry laws vary widely as well. In Nevada, anyone can carry concealed in their car with or without a permit. Many states have must issue laws...that means the state has to show cause to not issue a permit. Others have other restrictions.

The current issue is about the complete outlawing of guns even at home.
IMO that will not pass muster.

What surprises me most is how many SFO residents are willing to give a right guaranteed by the Constitution. Makes me wonder which right they will want to forfeit next?
