Many, The stories by James Fenimore Cooper have always been favorites of mine, too. The film was a little holloywoodized, but is still pretty good. The Blue Ridge Mtns, was a perfect spot to film the movie.

BTW, From the research I did years ago, there was not a tribe with the name of Mohican. There were Mohegans, and Mahicans, but since they were closely connected, and Cooper may have combined the names to cover the same demise of both tribes.
