<Why did you compare to SOX anyway?> The only reason is that I trade mostly SOX (g); comparison with SPY is certainly better. Still, the difference between being down 3% vs up 4% is significant. I agree with what you are saying. Still, Hussman's approach is based in large part on market timing, and his timing this year was poor.
