VICL came up as a reccomendation in one of my newsletters mentioning vaccine and bird flu. From the link cited in previous message-------- "Bird flu and human flu have a complex and likely inter-related story. The three influenza A viruses associated with the 20 th century human pandemics all appear to have genetic components originally housed in viruses in birds. The 1918 H1N1 virus killed 20 to 40 million people worldwide. The 1957 H2N2 and 1968 H3N2 viruses were far less lethal, but still were each responsible for more than 1 million deaths. 3 Now, in 2005, all eyes are focused on H5N1, more commonly known as" So as I understand----------the 1918 flu was related to birds as was the 1968 epidemic. Personal experience--------both parents of one of our Grandmothers died in the 1918 epidemic in New York City. That Grandmother was just 4 years old at the time----and as you can imagine had a rather interesting upbringing. The 1968 flu---------I remember well----flat on the back for one week-----couldn't lift my head----no choice but to be in bed----wicked stuff. And, as I surfaced the next family member went down. So do I invest in VIcal or not------making that decision----also looking at a couple of other things just now----------VICAL, LGF, UQM. All low priced trying to maximize my return. mj
