Saddam had 12 years to acquire WMD after the Gulf War and didn't.

Yeah, my reasons for supporting the removal of Saddam don't depend on his being a threat to the US. I think all unelected heads of state that are hated by the majority of the people they rule over should be forcibly removed from power. Saddam's oppression of Iraqis is enough in and of itself enough for me to support his removal, even if he never threatened the US. I have similar views of the regimes in Burma, Zimbabwe and North Korea. Of course, the process of forcible removal can vary from regime to regime, but I support the objective.
