Yes-IMO-In this case, the chance is good. My Reasoning!

The bid is for cash by a European company.
The Euro is declining currently. A domestic company could jump in if currency plays a negative factor for shareholders in the deal.

SYNC has traded over 6 after the bubble. Oct-Nov 2003
So based on historical Value. (unhapppy shareholders that need to approve the deal)

Competitors or customers feeling threatened, is the biggest factor I believe.

The company's patent structure is strong.

Qualcom is a customer of SYNC and has a broad customer base!
