I **believe** the eps of 14-15 cents takes into account a 2c charge.....without that, I believe AMAT would meet the 16-17 cent estimates.

17:42 AMAT Applied Materials conference call summary (17.78 +0.04) -Update-

Co sees Q1 EPS of $0.14-$0.15 vs $0.16 consensus; sees revs up 3%-5%. Co see orders up 7-10%. During the Q&A, co notes environment in Q1 should be similar to the environment seen in Q4. Looking into 2006, co notes it has to get through the holiday selling season to see where inventories end up. Co noted the mix for the upcoming qtr should be pretty much the same as it was in Q4. Co noted they are "very positively biased" in their thinking for 2006. Co noted they are offering more products and more applications to the memory guys. Co noted they grew their service business during this year, with products which are historically different than its historical break-fix business. Management noted flat panel bookings were good during the past qtr. The stock is trading at $17.26 in after hours.
