When I get back I'm going to write a long note about an experience I had with TA. To make it short - sometimes TA gives a signal before a change in FA.

Ok....FA & TA

As I said...sometimes TA actually seems to forecast. I can't name all the times I've seen it with a stock but its happened a lot. I can, however, think of a time when I was chatting with two other SI'ers on MSN. Their names are Ben Wobbles and John Pitera. It was 4-5 days before 9-11 and we were looking at P&F charts on the vix. To our amazement (at the time) the P&F chart was predicting a VIX of 60-80. The market wasn't healthy but this vix number went WAY beyond our wildest dreams. Anyhow....a few days later 9-11 happens and the rest is history. I'd bet that if you asked either of these guys they'd both remember that 2am discussion on MSN. Because of what happened its etched in my mind.
