Why don't we just do the American thing and go buy the place? How much could Cuba cost?

Gotta be cheaper than Iraq, and we would get a whole bunch of nice beaches to boot.....

Good post Ionesco. You summarize things very well and I get a lot out of reading your posts. Mr. Lucky too although you are on opposite poles...

Jesse Helms was vehement in preventing us from doing anything with Cuba and he is retired. I had thought that after his retirement we might see some loosening up of the stiff rules... no cigars imported.... no one can go there... I would like to see Cuba...

Did you ever seen old films of Cuba with the dictator.. (senior memory slip of name )Havana was a haven of corruption.. but it was popularized by Hemingway and then films .. It was an interesting place. I like Cuban music too.
