That's true. Unless they smell impeachment in the winds...

Given all the denials of being Woodward's source, there is but a small pool of "senior whitehouse officials" left. Given Libby's recent experience, I doubt if any are lying at this point. On first blush, Cheney's non-denial seems to finger him. But I don't see Cheney voluntarily 'fessing up to Fitzgerald as allegedly happened. Which brings us to Stephen Hadley. Reportedly, he was openly worrying about being indicted on Fitzmas. If Hadley knew that Woodward was going to be an issue, he would have to be a moron to not confess immediately.

So why is Hadley important? His boss during the Plame leak was Condi. It is hard to imagine he did this without Condi's knowledge. And if that is the case, it is even harder to believe she knew about this and not her "husband"...
