That is the only position to take on abortion.

I thought you said that was the majority position, not the only one available. In democracies, we vote. Tie goes to the VP.

Criminalizing it is stupid and obsessing on this wedge issue is divisive and only plays into the hands of the extremist nuts on both ends of the spectrum.

The politicians and voters that would criminalize it don't think its stupid. And the Supreme Courts ruling by fiat prevents the states from having a healthy debate on subject in EVERY election.
