My wife bought honeycomb vertical drapes for the door to the deck. A real pain to put up. I measured the height to install the brackets and put a dot on the wall. A little later I measured down from the ceiling and marked and drilled all the bracket holes and mounted the brackets.

Today I had them all but installed and sonofabitch they were 2.25" above the floor instead of .25" like I wanted. After some checking I found where a fly crapped on my wall 2" above my little dot and I had used the more visible "mark". I hate do over jobs and am daymed glad I killed that fly.
