I note on the thread how many references there are to people who disagree with the President as being "hate-filled" or "dishonest".

I don't think I am hate-filled and I certainly try not to be dishonest. I think our misadventure in Iraq (especially the lack of planning for after the initial fully-expected military successes) has done much to harm our broader efforts on the War on Terror. I don't feel an obligtion to fall lock-step behind the President if I disagree with a course of action. As a veteran, I disagree with using Veteran's day as an opportunity to pound on political opponents rather than praise the troops, past and present. I join Chuck Hagel in most of his observations about where we stand.

Why are those of us who feel the President is on the wrong track deemed hate-filled?
