Yeah sure...it's kind of like the indicted criminal saying he's not guilty because he fled to Brazil thus avoiding the court date. The technicalities of it are unimportant. The Articles of Impeachment were approved by the House Judiciary Committee by a vote of 27 to 11. Additional incriminating evidence emerged the following week, and before the full house could vote for impeachment, the gutless Nixon resigned. The votes where already there in the house for impeachment, therefore Nixon skipped out on the trial that would have uncovered the coverup...and more. Orca
