re: You tell me what % were NOT celebrating and I'll tell you what % were celebrating.

Since neither of you know... I'll offer my WAG, less than 3%.

Let me ask you mindmild, how many Americans enjoyed watching "shock and awe" on TV at the start of this war? A hint, a LOT of folks tuned in... more than for your average situation comedy. What was in their mind... a little excitement, a little glee, a feeling of revenge for 9/11, a feeling of "we are stronger than these freaking Arabs and we are sticking it to them RIGHT NOW ha ha ha"? What percent of Americans "celebrated", in their own way, shock and awe? As opposed to those that felt remorse (as you would have expected from the Arab world after 9/11)?

It's really, really easy to instigate hate in the any patriotic or religious group of people. Much harder to instigate understanding and compromise. The high road or the low road, good guy or bad guy, progress or regression; take your pick.

John

I told you what I know from living in a Muslim country.

Tell me what you know, and what's your basis for that info.
