I've never said they are or should be so considered. In fact, considering the gathering power in the federal gov't, a heavy dose of libertarianism at that level could work wonders.

You can accept the basic principle that restriction of individual liberty is a bad thing, but still feel some restrictions are justified.
I do. See the drug debate on PGWB today.

You can argue against something based on the fact that it limits/decreases individual liberty without having to argue for a minarchist state, let alone argue for anarcho-capitalism.
Minarchist state? What's that?

Politics is the art of the practical. And libertarians can't win elections. That makes their beliefs impractical because they never get a chance to implement them in the real world.
