Countries will not legalize more drugs in the near future. There are worthwhile studies and arguments to be considered, but it will not happen. So, all we have are differences of opinions regarding the issue, but nothing more. It is a mute point.

I disagree, change is slow in this case because the very studies you speak of have been hampered. Problem is that once a myth is established as fact it takes a long time to replace it with truth. Once that happens the rebellion against the illogic of the law or laws will begin and it will start at the grass roots level. This rebellion against federal laws that states believe to be unjust is happening now.
