My basis for it is a survey that asked ME Muslims what they thought of Osama and his methods. 95%+ said he was a hero and 70%+ agreed with his methods. I wish I could get my hands on that article now to prove my point, but this was a couple years ago. So I can't find it now.

Interesting, but if true it would mean that 70% of ME Muslims would want to overthrow their current government and replace it with a united Islamic caliphate. If that were true, you'd figure 70% of the population would be able to do that without anyone else's help. Since they don't do that, and don't even appear to make much effort to do that, I think you are reading too much into one survey question.

If all ME Muslims were asked on Oct 1st, 2001 whether they celebrated 9/11 or not, what % do you think you answer "yes, I did"? That's the % you should really care about.

From Tapes, a Chilling Voice of Islamic Radicalism in Europe

"Go to hell, enemy of God!" shouted the man, Rabei Osman Sayed Ahmed, as Mr. Berg's screams were broadcast. "Kill him! Kill him! Yes, like that! Cut his throat properly. Cut his head off! If I had been there, I would have burned him to make him already feel what hell was like. Cut off his head! God is great! God is great!"
