I commented upon the talent and apparent skill of the Bush II PR machine... not about anything else.

(As a matter of fact, if --- as you say --- '90% of the press was working against him from day one'... which I think is way over-estimated by the way, unless maybe you think that FOX and Clear Channel and Wash Times and WSJ, and large numbers of other 'conservative' media outlets were all-along secretly working to oppose Bush and everything he wanted to do :-); that would only reinforce my estimate of the Bush II PR machine's skill. Else, how could he possibly have maintained such high poll numbers for so long, and passed the legislation he did?)

Exactly, Bill. If he had half the eloquence of Blair, it would have helped. The bias is even invading MSI (main stream internet). I saw a "headline" on Netscape (CNN?) "Probe reveals female suicide bomber's kin gunned down" The implication clearly was that they were gunned down in retaliation. In fact, they had been killed previously as "insurgents".
