Good post buddy. I'm not sure it would be a good idea to legalize pot becuase it sends a message that drugs are ok. But in comparison to alchol, it is WAY LESS DANGEROUS. Alcohol is a poison that will easily kill you if you drink too much. Nobody has EVER died from a pot overdose. Your points on alcohol causing death and destructive behavior are undeniable. Thousands and thousands of people die every year in the US because of alcohol. I would rather somebody fall asleep watching spongebob squarepants with a bowl of cereal in their lap than force sex on a hapless (and drunk) woman or crash into somebodies family and kill them.

Alcohol is safe.
Class A, B and C drugs are dangerous.

However, excessive ingestion of safe substances can be dangerous. Almost as dangerous as some class A, B or C drugs.
