JF, Although it would probably appeal to the general public... people on SI are too polarized on every issue to "give a little to get a lot".

I'll bet you the public in general is just as polarized, mainly because the outspoken and the extremists dominate the debates.

In any case, Bush can do a lot to regain leadership and advance certain issues like the deficit and our lopsided economy. Kind of strange that he continues to act as if he has little political capital left to spend. After all, I thought he was president of the United States of America.

I'm against gun control, for legalizing drugs, for much reduced defense expenditures, for America minding it's own business, for fiscal sanity, for smaller government and I just really don't care about abortion, but I see it as a personal freedom issue, so I'm "pro-death"!
