JF, Although it would probably appeal to the general public... people on SI are too polarized on every issue to "give a little to get a lot". I'll bet you the public in general is just as polarized, mainly because the outspoken and the extremists dominate the debates. In any case, Bush can do a lot to regain leadership and advance certain issues like the deficit and our lopsided economy. Kind of strange that he continues to act as if he has little political capital left to spend. After all, I thought he was president of the United States of America. Tenchusatsu
