Laz, That is what I was told as a young lad. Maybe American propaganda, but by the time the Nazi's began bombing England, it was obvious that Hitler was going farther than his intentions in Mein Kampf.

I guess the Italian army liked it's pasta, and wine, more than warfare. They surrendered practically en'masse in Africa. and when out guys hit the beaches of Anzio, and Salerno, they were fighting Germans, not Italians.
