I don't think that proves a liberal bias. It proves that the job of selling papers goes hand in hand with sensationalizing and tugging at emotions. Yes, you are correct. The "reporting" was designed to sensationalize and it surely misrepresents and creates an unnecessary association. Having said that--yes...the writer may have been biased--but any reporter trying for advancement looks for the chance to misdirect through association. Missing legs and arms of butchered young girl in dancing class "stumps" police detectives.
