That's a very interesting story.

Police misbehavior does not change my view that the protestors were attempting to seize more power than they deserved by virtue of their numbers and vote.

I didn't like LBJ one bit, even less because he was not originally elected to the office. But he was lawfully carrying out the duties of his office and you had access to the ballot box so you did not need to protest nor riot, no matter what the cause.

Edit: I'm not overly impressed with Hollywood elite types, nor people with more money than sense. A lot of bad stuff happened back in the hippie days, and most of it can be traced to protests getting out of hand for whatever reason. The police (and National Guard) are no more at fault than those who created the conditions that required they be called out.

Use the ballot box. It works. It might be slow, but it works. Rioting does severe harm to this country.
