President Bush is in charge of a Military that at great risk to it's members are killing binnies boys in Iraq and avoiding killing innocent Iraqis.

Bush has said time and again that he rather fight a war in the streets of a foreign country. Why does he say so? Just figure it out. Would it not be better for him to station the troops in the mountains of Afghanistan and fight the terrorists there instead of in the midst of innocent civilian population?

Let me bring my gang with guns and knives to your neighborhood and fight a rival gang where you park your car or where your kids play. I am going to make sure I do not wreck your car or shoot at the kids in the neighborhood. But if your kid gets shot at by the rival gang's bullets don't blame me for bringing my gang to your neighborhood. And I want to bring my gang to your neighborhood to avoid bloodshed in my my neighborhood and keep my neighborhood safe instead. This logic is not rocket science is it? Or is it for you?

'Schmidt Makes Potentially Career Ending Speech

As you may have read earlier, Rep. Jean Schmidt (R-OH), the woman who barely beat Iraq war vet Paul Hackett (D) in Ohio's special election earlier this year, unleashed a vicious attack on Rep. John Murtha (D-PA). She essentially called the 37 year Marine veteran and purple heart recipient a coward. Later, she asked for her remarks to be withdrawn from the record.

Fortunately, Think Progress has the video. Expect it in campaign ads next year.

Andrew Sullivan: "Every time you think these Republicans can sink no lower, even after their vile smears against Kerry's service last year, they keep going. They make me sick to my stomach."

Now, Zarkawi (sp?) has issued a videotape saying he will CHOP OFF the head of the King of Jordan. My understanding is the King there is very popular. This will likely infuriate the Jordanians even more. Hell, maybe we will ultimately get an Arab Army to track down the terrorists. Jordan has assisted in training the Iraqi Special Forces, which I understand are OUTSTANDING (sadly limited to only 1,200 men right now). Sure would like to see another 1,200 man brigade contributed from Jordan to the coalition. jdn
