Murfa called for withdrawl as soon as it is safely possible. The GOP dishonestly left out that proviso to try and lie to the American People.

Murfa cares more about the troops than any man in congress. But he has sadly come to the point where he gives Bush and his whole non-plan in Iraq a no-confidence vote.

Murfa is going to win this debate. The phony trick Duncan Hunter pulled only proves how dishonest the Bushie defenders are. They are afraid to take a real vote on the realistic Murfa proposal. Also, before any such vote, a compromise plan must be worked out. Many Democrats agree with Kerry and want a more gradual pull-out based on specific steps.

Bush is in fantasyland meanwhile, saying we won't pull out until we achieve "complete victory". Over who? Who exactly is the enemy Bush envisions? We are fighting Iraqis in the name of freeing Iraqis. And we cannot tell friend from foe. Zarqawi's bunch are a very small group mixed into that. Same blunder we made in Vietnam.
